The Avenue - A stretch of road With canopy of bloom Of fragrant bloom - and The air, was full of twilight Of purple twilight And far ahead a painted sky An unreal like sky Shone like a window Rosily As if some lonely aisle Some dim cathedral aisle Were set And this - the avenue
She was also an artist, a fabulous cook, dancer, and mother.She gave me her pastels in 1991 and I have never been the same.They are French and the joy I experience every time I paint is a gift she has given me for the rest of my life. History in the making..now...this Avenue is my life...
