During my fourth year at art school I had to do numerous sculptures and two life size sculptures...
One of my sculptures in Fiberglass with Bronze Filings
"Velvet Peonies" on Watercolor Paper...
"Tidley Cove" Acrylic This commission helped me reach France for my exhibit in Yvetot, France. I have since been invited to Giverny, France
I live on the West Coast of British Columbia on the Capilano River. This river runs through an ancient canyon where the wind stirs the towering cedars, and mountain peaks rise to the sky.
This area's rugged beauty has inspired many writers and artists, including the legendary poet Pauline Johnson.

My studio is steeped in the wealth of rich landscapes... it was the site of an artists' colony in the 1930s; home to the noted landscape painter Nan Cheney (Anna Gertrude Lawson) 1897-1985.  Among the artists invited to paint at her home in this extraordinary setting was Cheney's good friend Emily Carr. .1930's dubbed "One of the rarest treasures" oil on canvas painting fetches more than $2.16 M at Vancouver Heffel "Wind in the Tree Tops" 2009.

I am sure she was sitting here painting the
towering cedars right at my front door....

Thank you for viewing my work.  Page
