"Juror - Mr. Mike Culver Oqunquit Museum of American Art - "It was indeed challenging to select only sixty works from the 284 slides submitted for consideration. Choosing the most exceptional paintings with the intention of creating a show that includes a diversity of subjects and styles. Viewers may notice that over one half of this show consists of landscape painting; this is because the popular genre dominated the entries. In the same manner, realism/naturalism far outweighed abstraction as a favored style. Due to the excellence and individuality of the submissions, I believe this will be an outstanding exhibition that will appeal to the widest possible audience." Two pastel paintings selected for exhibit turning it into International.
